Looking for a colourful, playful day out in London? Bubble Planet in Wembley Park promises giant ball pits, photo-ready rooms, and a bubble-themed world like no other. We couldn’t resist giving it a go with the kids. But is it worth the hype (and the price)? Here’s our honest review.

First Impressions — Bubbles, Mirrors & Excitement

bubble park Wembley essex mums review

The venue is a short walk from Wembley Park station, tucked away in industrial units. Inside, you’re greeted with pastel colours, upbeat music, and signs teasing “11 bubble rooms.” Socks are needed for the ball pit, so bring a pair, and make sure your phone is charged—the whole place is designed for photos.

The Rooms — Our Highlights

Each room has a different theme, and you can wander through at your own pace. Here are the ones that stood out for us:

  • Balloon Room: Oversized glowing spheres bounced around by everyone. Fun, but a bit chaotic.
  • LED Infinity Tunnel: A glowing red walkway of lights and mirrors. The kids ran through it, wide-eyed, and it set the tone for what was to come.
  • Ball Pit “Bubble Bath”: The star of the show. Deep, full of inflatables, and irresistible to both kids and adults. Younger ones will need watching closely.
  • Duck Bath: Rubber ducks cover the walls, with a tub in the centre for silly photo ops.
  • Optical Illusion Table: Classic “head on a platter” trick—guaranteed giggles.
  • Jumping Projection Zone: Interactive floor visuals that react to movement.
  • Projection Dome: Beanbags and swirling visuals offered a calm break before heading out.

The VR Experience

We tried the optional VR add-on (£3 per person). Younger kids loved the immersive visuals, but older ones (13+) and adults found it less impressive. It’s a nice extra, but not essential unless you have little ones eager to try.

What We Thought

The kids had a brilliant time and laughed non-stop, especially in the ball pit and photo rooms. For adults, some installations felt more about novelty than depth, but as a shared family activity, it delivered. We were in and out within a couple of hours, which felt about right.

Food & Surroundings

Wembley Park makes this a bigger day out, with plenty of family-friendly spots nearby, including an mini outlet, kids playground and cinema. We went to Haute Dolci for cakes and milkshakes (highly recommended). Other options include Boxpark Wembley for lots of street food options, Bread Ahead for doughnuts or brunch, and Pasta Remoli for a sit-down meal.

Cost & Value

Tickets start at around £19.90 for adults and £14.90 for children, with extras like VR on top. It isn’t cheap for a 90-minute experience, but the memories, photos, and sheer fun made it worthwhile for us.

Final Verdict

Bubble Planet is a one-off treat that delivers plenty of laughs and family moments. It won’t fill a whole day on its own, but paired with food and exploring Wembley Park, it makes for a great outing. For kids, it’s magical; for adults, it’s more about enjoying their excitement.
