Spot’s Birthday Party is a fun and engaging treat for little ones. It was a great chance to introduce my little ones to the theatre, with a show where they could join in and feel part of the experience. They were able to sing along with their favourite characters and dance and play games. The show had a great party feel and this was due to the happy atmosphere the cast created. The children believed in the characters, which made the hour all the more magical. They felt like they were at Spot’s party celebrating with him. My son, who is not even a year old, could not take his eyes off the stage. He was clapping along with the music and trying to join in with the dancing. He loved it. My daughter (3) really got into the spirit of the show and was upset when it came to a close.
The whole experience was a delight from start to finish. The cast were engaging; the story was upbeat; the scenery was bright and simple (just like in the books); and the audience were all swept up in the magic. Perfect!
