Please help raise money for this Essex family. As well as being an Essex Mum, Emma is a Mini Professor Franchisee for Colchester and really needs your help.
For Emma and Phil Cater 2017 promised to be a very good year. Emma was expecting their 2nd child, in addition to their beautiful 2 year old daughter Ellie, and Phil was about to set off for France to start a new job and set up the home where the family would join him. Then on the 10th January, the world changed for this young family. Emma was unable to contact 30 year old Phil, who is a diabetic, for a whole day and he was found that evening in a serious condition. He subsequently suffered a heart attack, which in turn left him with brain damage. Phil remains critically ill in a French hospital, Emma remains at his bedside and Ellie is still in the UK being looked after by family, but missing her mummy & daddy.
The family are making arrangements to get Phil back home. Being in an English hospital surrounded by family, his brain being stimulated by voices he knows and having physical contact with his little girl could be the thing that turns a corner with Phil’s recovery. Unfortunately Phil’s French insurance will not cover the cost of repatriation to the UK and, therefore, this alone will cost the family £12,000.
Phil and his family have a long uncertain road ahead of them. There will be many challenges along the way and we hope the support of family and friends can make his rehabilitation a little easier.
